About The Hill Hotel

Formerly named The Castle View because of the views of Moygara Castle across fields, but unfortunately as time has gone by the castle has become a ruin being almost brought to its knees, the castle can no longer be seen. Local residents and clientele have affectionately known the pub for the past 70 years or more as The Hill.

The Hill was built a couple of hundred years ago and was known to have been used during the time of the famine as a soup kitchen feeding many a person locally and from a far.

We have a shuttle service to and from Knock airport.



Bar & Restaurant

Originally The Hill consisted of a family dwelling and a very small old fashioned bar. The Hill Hotel now consists of an Olde Worlde Bar, Lounge and Function Room. The Gallery Restaurant is located on the first floor. We cater for all parties, celebrations and functions. We have live music every weekend.
